Wizz Air will release four new routes from Edinburgh Airport – to Warsaw and Gdansk in Poland, Budapest in Hungary, and Bucharest in Romania. The low-cost operator already flies from Glasgow to Katowice in Poland and Budapest and from Aberdeen to Gdansk. The routes allow Scots to explore lovely Eastern European towns less heralded as minibreak destinations.
Its new Edinburgh to Budapest provider will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; Warsaw on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays; Gdansk on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays; and Bucharest on Tuesdays and Saturdays. All routes will be served with a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321.
Edinburgh Airport leader executive Gordon Dewar said: “We are thrilled to welcome Wizz Air to Edinburgh and include a brand new service at Scotland’s busiest airport. “We know there’s a large Polish diaspora within our neighboring groups in Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Fife; however, we also understand that humans in Scotland have a thirst for the journey, so having Wizz onboard at Edinburgh could be exciting.

“Offering desire to our passengers is what we aim to do as it’s far that choice which enriches our understanding of different countries and cultures while also taking Scotland to the world. “Tourism performs any such crucial component in Scotland’s economy, and it is essential that we increase our horizons within the most sustainable way possible and demonstrate the incredible supply that our u. S . A. Has.”
Wizz Air UK, dealing with director Owain Jones, said: “I am thrilled on the way to deliver Wizz Air’s low-fare community and high-quality flying enjoy to passengers journeying from Edinburgh Airport. “Expansion of our Scottish routes is a natural subsequent step for Wizz Air within the UK, taking advantage of the boom opportunities in Europe’s biggest journey market. “Don’t let the price of the pound put you off reserving a holiday – you could make your cash pass further at all of the seven locations served by our Scottish services. “There, you will revel in the way of life, structure, food, and nightlife unique to anywhere else. So we sit up to welcome passengers on our ultra-green fleet of Airbus planes very quickly.”
