OnTheSnow.Com, which keeps the music of available ski hotels in California, lists Mammoth as the lone motel to be had by skiers and riders, with snow depth starting from 10-25 inches.

To the southeast of Santiago is Little Lagunillas, a non-industrial ski inn. Nearby is Chapa Verde, 145km from Santiago. About five hours south of Santiago, close to Chillan, is Termas de Chillan (Nevados de Chillan), a hot springs lodge on two active volcanoes. Further south is the small family lodge of Pucon Villarica. This ski lodge is also situated on a volcano and is famous with snowboarders because of the herbal half pipes shaped by lava flows. Other southern haunts encompass Antillanca (adjacent to Bariloche in Argentina), Antuco, Lonquimay, Llaima, and El Fraile. A manner down south is the Cerro Mirador Resort.
